Minutes from Rustin Boys Lacrosse Booster Meeting November 14, 2012 Meeting Minutes from Lacrosse Booster Meeting 11/14/12 Attendees: Amicone, Bergwall, Cugini, West, Falcone, O’Neill, Pettine, Burke, Lombardi, Moore, Hosking, Muliawan, Sheriko 6:30pm – Social time with snacks (nice spread of appetizers!) and conversation 7:05pm – Minutes approved and meeting called to order Bob discussed an email he received with the coach’s comments about the season. There will probably be training at the school instead of a winter league. The coach will attend the meeting before the start of the season to discuss the season. More information when available. Lisa went over the budget and money on hand. She said we are on par with the proposed budget. The fall ball and Lax-o-Lantern tournament made a little less than expected but we have other fundraising opportunities to make up the difference. She expects us to be on target with the proposed budget. The plan is to try and leave $2000- $3000 for next year’s booster’s. This is needed for “Fall Ball” which really starts before the first Booster Meetings. It was discussed that the players should be involved in the fundraising and not only the parents or the parents should have the opportunity to just write a check. This will be discussed further at future meetings. The Vice President position was voted on and Gina Lombardi was nominated and the motion was approved. Congratulations to Gina and thank you for stepping up as our new VP. Rick Pettine spoke about the booster website. The address is www.RustinLacrosse.org There is also a Facebook page, but the website will be the first go to site for information. Rick would appreciate if everyone could take a look at the website and give your feedback and suggestions. There is a comment form on the website that will submit your comments so Rick can see your suggestions. He discussed maybe including different sections or removing sections that we have not been using. He suggested sections where forms, ideas, rosters, etc. will be included. Thanks for your help and remember to use the website for all team information. There is also a link from the Rustin athletic page. Bob discussed Committee needs. We will have to get the committees organized and people signed up for certain committees where there are no volunteers. Spirit wear and Fundraising were mentioned as possible needs.
